Artist's Statement

I strive to evoke a sense of passion and intrigue through my work. I use a range of techniques, thickly applied oil paints and pastels, and a vivid palette to create dynamic compositions of places and experiences that inspire happiness, memories, and reflection. I have been a life-long student of fine art and find joy in exploring all that is possible with oil paint. I received my Certificate in Painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Spring 2009 and have shown my work in local galleries and exhibitions.
